The 7 most attractive restaurants in Toronto

Seven Most Attractive Restaurants in Toronto

It’s been gloomy the last few weeks in Toronto with the frequent rain.

Now that it’s the end of July, the completion of the beautiful summer in Toronto is nearing. You mustn’t waste any time to have some fun. Today, Street Chic will recommend some of Toronto’s popular restaurants, which are high-value and delicious!

Dazzling Cafe

Dazzling Cafe originates from Taiwan, and it was opened at a prime location in Toronto; at Yonge & Sheppard. People can’t resist the temptation to visit because of the sweet desserts and exquisite presentation.

The food in there can meet anyone’s taste. I love the ice cream toast best.

Address: 37 Sheppard Ave E, North York, ON M2N 7K1

Smith

Smith is a three-story restaurant located at Church Street. Smith focuses on serving brunch. This is a gathering place for young people, so if you ever go over the weekend you’ll likely find yourself in a line-up. There is a pleasant new patio in the hidden backyard. You can see the brick walls, comfortable sofas and retro benches reminiscent of Smith’s aesthetic. Warm and welcoming lights can be seen at night.

Address: 553 Church St Toronto, ONM4Y 2E2

One Restaurant

If you go to Yorkville, then you must try One. With this restaurant covering brunch, lunch and dinner, you will never be disappointed. This is a favorite restaurant of many celebrities and bloggers. I really like the patio in there because of the lush plants. One’s breakfast menu is very satisfying. I especially recommend fruit rich pancake.

Address: 116 Yorkville Ave, Toronto, ON M5R 1C2

La Societe

La Societe is a very old French restaurant in Toronto. It’s found at Bloor Street near the Cartier store. The first time I went there, the Irish coffee really surprised me(in a good way). They recently started offering brunch that is great in both taste and appearance. Remember to order their waffles; they use different ways to present it.

Address: 131 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1R1

Ufficio

Ufficio is a cozy and elegant restaurant at Dundas West. Their benny is something special with seafood in it. I recommend the Uova cotte, which is delicious. It’s also worth recommending is their salmon. Come to this place out for some high quality food!

Address: 1214 Dundas Street West, Toronto, ON M6J 1X5

Cafe Neon

If you plan on checking out the Café Neon, I suggest you go to Wallace Ave one. They have a marble table that more suitable for taking pictures. If you don’t care about that, then the important thing to note is the delicious egg benny. It’s a very pleasant and relaxing restaurant no matter which location you go to.

Address: 241 Wallace Ave, Toronto, ON M6H 1V5

LAVELLE

Lavelle is not a sight you see at the typical restaurant. It is full of great points, including the environment, price, geographical location and food. There is a Rooftop and Patio with a swimming pool. The food is tasty, looks great, and is affordable. If you sit by the window, you can get a magnificent view of the CN Tower.

Address: 627 King St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1M5

Street Fashion all over Toronto

Street Fashion at University of Toronto

By Alice Li, 2017 Miss Toronto World

Today, we will be talking all things FASHION about Toronto! As the reigning Miss Toronto, I will share with you my fashionista find of the day 😉

First off, I love everything about fashion design and I’ve got a bit of that designing urge in myself. Fun fact: my favorite article of clothing to design is long evening gowns – absolutely beautiful and the more glamorous, the better! Check out some of my own hand-sewn pieces below:

Now let’s get right into it: I went around today to the University of Toronto, where young fashion is always thriving with sparks. I know that for myself, attending the University of Toronto gave me the opportunity to explore my sense of style and meet like-minded people. That’s why I decided it would be a good location to look for our it-girl of the day!

Street Chic Girl
Meet Pamela, who is a student studying genetics and biology. She literally caught my eye from a mile away – she’s got that confidence and it-factor to her walk. When I saw her, she was just making her way across campus on Toronto’s Hoskin Avenue. It was close to Trinity College, one of the University’s well-known historic buildings.

I chatted with Pamela for a few minutes to get to know her and find out more about her style. She is already an inspiration to me for keeping up her wardrobe during class! Managing school, jobs, and looking great all at once is definitely not easy. 😛 Let’s get the inside scoop on what she’s wearing!

What is She Wearing?
Pamela is pulling off a black spandex bodysuit from Urban Outfitters ($29). It looks perfect for summer – something I can definitely see myself wearing. It matches so well with her hair! Both her light-wash jeans ($29) and leather shoes are from Urban Planet ($39). The rain-drop shaped earrings are from Ardenes ($8) and adds a nice touch to finish off her look. If you saw them in person, you would’ve seen in the intricate diamond design on these fabulous earrings! Pamela is from Toronto, and these are pieces you could find at almost any mall in the area!

I loved this look especially because she kept it simple yet stylish. I noticed the trend in the black colours she had going on, which made her jeans really pop. You never want to put too many distractions together in one look, and Pamela balanced this out perfectly! Plus, she pulled everything off on an affordable budget!

Our Street Chic girl of the day is truly an example of beauty and brain! Not only is she an aspiring genetic counsellor, she also has her own sense of style. We actually edited these pictures a little for color balance because I found out we had something in common – we both like to be perfectionists! We pretty much had an impromptu photo shoot right on the streets of downtown Toronto! 😀

Street Chic

Street Chic on Queen West in Toronto

Street Chic is more than a social media hashtag, blog, or fashion magazine; its a state of mind!  On Saturday the 10th of June 2017, Lily Liao, the editor of Street Chic found herself downtown talking to stylish strangers on Queen West, the trendiest street in all Toronto.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous that Saturday, all across Southern Ontario and it was particularly nice in the city where a gentle breeze made the day perfect for everyone fortunate enough to get outside.

Samantha and Sarah had come down to Queen St that day to get some great snaps for Instagram. But little did they know their clothes and chic disposition would attract Lily’s pen and camera.

Samantha is wearing a purple top from Top Shop, and Pafferin jeans with shoes from Ardene. The Daniele Pinadi leather bag was also purchased at Ardene. Her friend Sarah in the pink blouse from Evernew is wearing jeans from Zara and shoes from H&M. She also has a Daniele Pinadi handbag.

Lily writes down clothing brands and stores and prices, out on the street.

Queen St. West has long been considered the epicenter of fashion and style in Canada’s largest city with many big brands operating flagship stores on the street in the downtown core. Smaller boutiques and fabric shops exist in the middle stretches and there’s a cornucopia of second hand clothing stores on Queen-West-West or ‘past the bridge’ that divides the street at Dufferin St.

The people walking along Queen street are all very diverse. There’s alternative lifestyle hipsters in black leather coats (in all weather) with tall boots and thick belts often accentuated with chrome. And these guys will be waiting at the crosswalk, sharing the same sidewalk are YUPs or Young Urban Professionals who wear business clothes by day and sweatpants after hours.

And then there’s Samantha and Sarah. They’re just visiting. These two best friends traveled to Queen street west that morning with a high quality camera to make memories on Instagram. We found them in between The Drake Hotel and the Gladstone Hotel eyeing up a provocative angel wings wall mural on Brooklyn nightclub bldg. Their fun personalities matched their bright colours and their gay presence made them very Street Chic.
